The fourth annual Telstra Productivity Indicator (TPI) reports on productivity improvement in Australia’s large enterprises and across a range of government organisations. Global economic uncertainty has added considerable strain to organisations, operating in an already challenging domestic business environment. Nevertheless, a group of organisations has maintained their focus on improving productivity with the aim of achieving competitive advantage and success.
Productivity is still one of the top priorities for the majority (78%) of large Australian organisations. Moreover, TPI 2012 indicates that productivity improvements were seen as very important to achieving key organisational objectives over the past year, in both the private (43%) and government sectors (31%).
